Some Christian Jobs = cheapo!

I've been applying to alot of different jobs and noticed that certain "Christian" companies are el cheapo.

Why? They offer you a job but want you to raise your own support. Ummm if I was to do that why not just start my own ministry and business and forget you?

Weird. Whatever happened to the passage where it says the worker is worthy of his hire.

It seems we, as "Christians" skim and try to take the cheapo method rather than taking the "Hey let's hire the best, and treat everyone the best - both our customers and our employees." Heck, if I ever get my own business and independently wealthy - that's what I'm doing.

Yup, there are many, come and work for us. But, to do so, you will have to pay your way ...

Doesn't sound like a job to me :)

Hey there brother. It has been awhile but I just wanted to let you know I will be praying for you. I took the leap of faith you are starting to take three years ago and it has been an AMAZING ride. Not always what I want but always teaching me more about how it is so VERY all about God and not me. I just got called back to FT ministry at a church and I am praying that God will help me not forget the lessons that past three years have taught!

It's because we expect of each other to serve, since, after all, that's what Christians are supposed to do.

I agree with you BTW, that is why I comment.

I have a friend of mine getting into journalism, but refuses to submit articles to Christian publications because they pay peanuts compared to real magazines. If the earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof, then wouldn't that include the gold, silver and precious stones in it (money)? I have a hard time believing God intends for the Gospel to be funded by bake sales and such like.

Anyway, sorry for rambling, your post hits home.

Blessings (I found you using the Blogrush widget somewhere).

Steve
