A Leap of Faith - I Resigned!

I Resigned. I gave my notice this past Monday but announced officially this past Sunday.

Why?

My role is changing and feeling it is what God is telling me. Though having no where to go or not knowing the next step is scarey.

I'm taking a break from ministry for now. I've done this for over 13yrs and the past 5yrs have been amazing yet I think God wants what is best for me and the congregation to do this.

It is definitely a change.

So what is in the works?

I'm looking to stay where I am for now. There is a remote possibility of serving in a "pastoring" role of a church near Toronto, Ontario down the road - just not now.

I'm looking into possibly Convention planning, Human Resources or Management.

I also consulted and working with the variety of church ministries out that the help ministers in transition.

So all is good. My role is changing and I'm still in ministry just not overseeing the big age group I was from Nursery through College.

This week I pack up my office and see where I put all that stuff in my home.

Prayers appreciated.

On a personal note: I'm living on good terms and God's leading - for my family it is definitely a change for us. If you have a job lead - just email me.

Gman, I've got no words of wisdom or witty sayings as of yet, but if I find some, I'll forward them. But may God lead you to place where He wants you.

Hopefully north of the border though!

It's good to hear you following God's leading in this time of transition, and I know He will take care of providing for you and your family as you wait on His guidance.

Gman, praying for you, the family, and Bobblehead Jesus as you continue to follow God. Having taken a recent leap of faith, I can assure you that it's not easy, but it's very worthwhile.

Gerrard, you and your families are in my prayers. This is a big leap but when it is guided by God then it is going to be some kind of ride. Enjoy!

I took that leap almost 2 years ago and ministry is even better!
If you have time come out to Cali and I'll show you around.

Wow! Don't have much to say, but I know you should check out Dag Heward-Mills' "How you can be in the perfect will of God" and "Loyalty and Disloyalty". He has about seven books on loyalty, you can add any one of them as well. I strongly believe it'll put your life in a more directed and structured path. Be blessed :)
