Something new is in the air. New beginnings, new start, a new season. Leaving the old behind.
Finding peace. We see the worst in the church only to see it at its best. I remember the scripture that says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 (speaking of the Apostle Paul but seems to speak to me as well) "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
I admit I have my own weaknesses, I fail. (Don't we all?) But am thankful for forgiveness, grace and mercy. God is not done with me yet.
I had several sayings that I said to people. Things like "Let's be Jesus' hands and feet." and "We're not a perfect family (speaking of the church) but we serve a perfect Saviour"
So as God is working on me ... I just ask a few things.
I. Let's not dwell on the past. (As the ole Lion King movie reminds us ...you can't change the past - its behind you)
II. Let's live in the present. (Make the most of every day)
III. Let's Strive for the Future. (Doing this together)
Continue to pray for me, my family ... as we step into the Light and where God would have us to be ...one day at a time .... and I will you.
