The Unknown Prayer

Prayer of an Unknown Confederate Soldier, aka The Creed for the Disabled I asked God for strength that I might achieve. I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey. I asked for health that I might do greater things. I was given infirmity that I might do better things. I asked for riches that I might be happy. I was given poverty that I might be wise. I asked for power that I might have the praise of men. I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. I was given life that I might enjoy all things. I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for. Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered. 2015 and 2016

2015 was an amazing year. We had some great things happen at church. From Easter Egg Hunt to Camp, ICOM and all the activities in between. The kids have had music - Brian - guitar, Kendra piano, and Nicole: Viola. they all went to 3 weeks of camp and even got to go to Busch Gardens and Christian Town and the Bethlehem Walk. I have preached a few of the epistles, did a study on David and preached on I love my church. Currently, we are studying the patriarchs and on Wednesday night: Heroes of the Faith. This year will have challenges (I'm sure) with one entering middle school and another high school. In all God is good and faithful. I don't blog as much as I would like. I think it is due to other things take time: kids, life, and the ministry itself. As we start 2016, may we be reminded that our job isn't to point to ourselves, but to Jesus. Who is with me?
