Deep Thoughts by Mr. G

So after my son's birthday party yesterday ... I went to the attic to get down some of the Christmas decorations ...stepped backwards and yup ...stepped on a nail. Went through my shoe right straight into my foot and put a hole right there. We rushed to Urgent Care ...got cleaned up ...got a shot and now am slowly mending. What is the reminder for me? Look before you step. Pain is never good. It takes a while to heal. Things happen at the most inconvenient times. A good reminder and analogy for ministry as well.

Looks like my adventure gets more different. With every twist, turn and wondering what God is doing ... Things like putting puzzle pieces back together. Looking at the glue that has been there for years and seeing where God is using me and my family next. The words of Mike Yaconelli ring true: "What a ride ..." I just wish I knew where it was going.
